Business Operations and Sales
- →Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
- →Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company’s vision and strategies
- →Develop strategic alliances and networks within assigned regions/markets in order to advance Alexandria Industries in the marketplace
- →Directly represent assigned regions/markets on internal teams by supporting quoting and estimating activities when needed
- →Partner with manufacturing leaders and departments to define and create achievable processes, rates and potential profitability targets
- →Participate in contract review and lead-time reduction efforts
- →Budget and manage customer, territory and gross margin percentage sales goals
- →Develop and achieve sales goals outlined in the strategic plan
- →Manage and document sales pipeline process and activities; investigation, prospecting, qualification, quotation, proposals, follow-up, etc.
- →Support and partner with the marketing department in order to achieve the region/market goals
- →Manage sales expenses and complete expense reports in a timely manner
- →Manage customer contracts for all market customers (metal, supply agreements, )
- →Partner with other account executives in order to meet region/market customer expectations as needed
- →Manage and report on sales forecasts and updates as appropriate; on an immediate, 90-day, or annual basis
Customer Focus
- →Work closely with customers and prospects to clarify prints, specifications, quality expectations,
- →Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships
- →Partner with the internal operations team to continuously improve quality standards in order to provide products that exceed customer expectations
- →Review customer satisfaction surveys and take action based on the feedback in order to develop and achieve customer satisfaction and retention goals
- →Work with suppliers as directed to ensure the best value to the company and its customers
- →Create good working relationships with all Alexandria Industries locations and work closely with them regarding business development strategies
Requirements

- Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred in an mechanical/manufacturing engineering discipline.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of sales and business development experience
- Prior experience working in a custom manufacturing or engineering environment required
- Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Ability to develop strong knowledge of business operations and procedures: aluminum extrusion, plastic injection molding, precision machining and other related manufacturing processes
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Credible, with excellent business acumen and high level analysis skills
- Strong team focus with the ability to work effectively in a professional and team environment
- Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members and lead and influence others
- Ability to take part in continuous education and training
- Ability to identify and promote solutions to support customer and business objectives
- Project management skills
- Self-directed, able to take initiative and exercise independent judgment
- Mature judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Ability to construct and lead presentations
- Good understanding of sales pipeline process; prospecting, lead generation, quotations,
- Ability and willingness to travel 20-40% of the time (includes local travel)
