Allstate Insider Threat Investigators play a key role in executing the enterprise insider threat program. This position has a specialized focus on emerging risks across cloud ecosystems and AI-driven technologies. This role supports complex investigations related to evolving insider threats, including misuse of SaaS platforms, data exposure through cloud environments, and risks associated with AI tool usage.

This position applies advanced analytical, technical, and risk judgment to evaluate complex user behavior, system activity, and emerging digital patterns. The consultant leverages cloud telemetry, behavioral analytics, and AI-assisted investigative techniques to identify potential misuse, data exfiltration, and policy violations.

The role partners closely with investigative, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to translate complex findings into clear, evidence-based insights that support enterprise decision-making and defensible outcomes, while contributing to the continuous evolution of investigative practices in response to emerging threat vectors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct insider threat investigations involving cloud environments and AI-enabled technologies, analyzing SaaS activity, system logs, user behavior, and AI tool interactions to identify risk.

  • Identify and investigate emerging insider threat patterns, including data exposure in cloud platforms and misuse of generative AI tools.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of investigative playbooks, workflows, and methodologies specific to cloud and AI-related risks.

  • Partner with Cybersecurity, IT, Legal, Compliance, HR, Privacy, and Analytics teams to ensure investigations align with regulatory, legal, privacy, and internal control requirements.

  • Translate investigative findings and emerging risk insights into recommendations for process, control, and technology improvements to strengthen the organization’s risk posture.

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics, cloud security, or risk analytics

  • Experience investigating AI / Generative AI technologies and associated risk considerations is strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of insider threat investigation methodologies, behavioral analytics, and forensic techniques across modern environments

  • Experience working with SIEM, DFIR, UEBA, and/or cloud-native logging and monitoring tools

  • Understanding of cloud security concepts, SaaS environments, and identity/access management risks

  • Familiarity with AI/ML or generative AI tools and their potential misuse or risk implications

What We Offer

Compensation offered for this role is $80,000 – 132,000 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
