P&C Actuary Lead Consultant - Reserving

• →Provides thought and/or technical leadership, including contributions to improvement, development and innovation, and often serves as a subject matter expert
• →Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes to projects that are moderate to high complexity and scale using accepted project management standards, with a high degree of independence
• →Uses best practices to lead and perform highly complex, high impact reserve analyses, using creative actuarial, statistical and/or predictive modeling techniques, including proper documentation and evaluation, as appropriate to inform business decisions
• →Leverages understanding of insurance business, claims operations, products, markets, and the broader economic environment to influence reserve reviews, business decisions, and communication strategy
• →Mentors, guides, and reviews the work of less experienced talent and improves the analytical capabilities of the team
• →Reviews, evaluates, and communicates appropriateness of reserving methodologies and results to leadership and business partners in a manner that is well understood and influence business decisions
• →Responsible for selecting, reviewing, using, and ensuring quality of claims, exposure, and financial data used to perform reserve analyses, reserve monitoring, and actuarial projections

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Required

• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
• Five or more years of actuarial experience.
• Experience completing complex actuarial analyses and applying actuarial judgment to support business decisions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
• Property and casualty reserving experience.
• Experience managing and developing actuarial talent.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
