Body Shop Technician

• →Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• →Repair truck body damage.
• →Install aftermarket parts.
• →Repair damage to vehicles as necessary and within the guidelines established at time of repair approval.
• →Interacts with dealership personnel and customers.
• →Look for and report any and all hidden damage observed during the repair process.
• →Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• →Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by thecustomer.
• →Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
• →If tech has a CDL road testing vehicles may be required.
• →Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
• →Attain industry certifications as required.
• →Keep abreast of manufacturer updates and technical bulletins.
• →Mentor less-skilled technicians as assigned.
• →Report machinery and equipment defects and malfunctions to department management.
• →Keep shop area neat and clean.
• →Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and equipment including returning to proper storage location when done.
• →Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as EPA, OSHA, and DOT.
• →Work in a safe manner at all times.
• →Report any safety issues to management immediately.
• →Perform other duties as assigned
