This is a high-impact coaching and change leadership role for a candidate who knows how to help financial advisors grow. The Practice Growth Consultant partners with advisors, field leaders, and key business partners to accelerate adoption of practice management strategies, sharpen advisor effectiveness, and increase the value advisors deliver to clients. Success in this role requires strong financial services credibility, excellent coaching instincts, commercial acumen, and the ability to inspire behavior change through trust, insight, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Build a deep understanding of the Allworth advisor network, the firm’s value proposition, and the tools that help advisors deliver it effectively.
  • Coach advisors and field leadership on core practice management capabilities, including financial planning, investment solutions, tax planning, estate planning, insurance planning, client communication, sales process, and AUM growth strategies.
  • Drive adoption of key platforms and planning tools, including MoneyGuide Pro, Holistiplan, Wealth.com, and other solutions that enhance client value and advisor productivity.
  • Serve as a trusted mentor and resource to advisors by providing high-quality coaching, practical guidance, and field-ready best practices.
  • Partner with Regional Directors and advisors to build business plans and action steps designed to meet and exceed growth goals and key performance indicators.
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities, diagnose practice growth needs, and tailor coaching strategies for individual advisors and teams.
  • Field advisor questions and determine the best path for resolution or escalation in partnership with Product, Planning, Technology, and other subject matter experts.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to help shape useful advisor content and enable adoption of evolving technology and business practices.
  • Deliver both one-on-one coaching and workshop-based training in a way that is credible, practical, and motivating.
  • Support onboarding and training for new members of the Financial Services organization through Allworth Academy and partnership with the Integrations team.
  • Evangelize advisor best practices across the organization and contribute to thought leadership, innovation, and strategic initiatives across Practice Management.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, including at least 5 years as a Financial Advisor or Financial Consultant.
  • 5+ years of experience coaching, developing, or leading Financial Advisors and/or Consultants.
  • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, practice growth, advisor development, or field enablement.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, investment management, and practice management strategies.
  • Formal training in sales dialogue or consultative selling models such as Professional Selling Skills, Miller Heiman, Cannon Financial, or similar frameworks.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or a similar CRM is a plus.
  • Series 65, or a combination of Series 7 and Series 66, is preferred.
  • Professional designations such as CFP, ChFC, PFS, CFA, CIC, CWS, or EA are strongly preferred.
  • You are a respected coach with the credibility to influence experienced financial advisors.
  • You combine relationship-building strength with commercial discipline and a strong bias for execution.
  • You are energized by change, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to turn strategy into field adoption.
  • You bring learning agility, urgency, and a genuine passion for helping advisors grow their practices and deepen client value.
  • Travel requirement: up to 25%-50%
  • Compensation: base salary plus bonus
