Policy Support: Collaborate with policy officers to Analyse large datasets to provide data-driven actionable recommendations and insights for decision-making. 

Data Analysis and Modelling: Conduct exploratory data analysis, including data cleaning if needed, build predictive models, and extract outputs, including insights, from large datasets. 

Collaborate with policy colleagues in the team to ensure data availability and quality. 

Implement data-driven solutions to optimize business processes and outcomes. 

Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 

Ensure the necessary requirements are complied with from the perspective of data scientist users. 

Design or participate in the design of data processing algorithms for specific use cases. 

Report on the status, risks, and mitigation actions in this respect. 

Data outputs including visualization: Create clear and informative data outputs, including visualizations, to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders.

Interaction with the business analysts, customer, users, project leaders and the developers.

 

 

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

Bachelor or Master Degree

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

•      Excellent knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools.

•      Proficiency (at least 3 years’ experience) with at least 2 of the programming languages R, Stata, Python.

•      Statistics and Probability, at least 3 years’ experience in: 

•      Excellent knowledge of statistical concepts needed to expertly conduct complex data analytics. 

•      Excellent knowledge of distributions and sampling techniques.

•      SQL and Database usage, at least 3 years’ experience: 

•      Intermediate knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language)

•      Intermediate knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or R-Shiny. 

•      Advanced knowledge of MS Excel spreadsheet editor 

•      Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

•      Ability to deliver efficiently and fast in a changing environment.

•      Ability to give business and technical presentations to multiple stakeholders

•      Ability to apply high quality standards

•      Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences

•      Analysis and problem-solving skills

•      Capability to write clear and structured technical documents

 

Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

•        Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

•        Research and Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data science and contribute to innovative solutions.
