A successful Food Services Support Team Member will help ensure that our students have access to nutritious meals so they can thrive. You will ensure that our students have a clean and orderly place to eat, and will be responsible for preparation and distribution of student meals. Successful candidates will demonstrate a growth mindset, a commitment to exceptional service, and strong alignment with our mission.

We are looking for team members who are reflective in their practice and are willing to engage in conversations around educational equity and inclusivity. The hourly rate for this role is $18.50

• →Student Lunch set up/take down, including removing food from warmers and refrigerators, proper placement of food items on serving table, and taking food temperatures
• →Mealtime processing: making sure students punch in their correct pin codes and that all students who take a lunch are accounted for
• →Ensuring students take a compliant lunch: including one entrée, one fruit or vegetable, and one beverage
• →Notifying other staff when issues arrive (student behavior issues, missing pin codes, students not cleaning tables properly, etc.)
• →Collecting trash from student tables, and ensuring trash is placed in dumpsters
• →Cleaning cafeteria daily at the end of the shift: sweeping/dusting floors, ensuring tables are clean, trash is out, and everything is put away

• Current Food Handler’s Permit Required (Alpha will cover costs if needed)
• Collaborative: Engage and work closely with fellow staff members and demonstrate strong communication and relationship building with students, families, and colleagues
• Committed: Demonstrate a desire and commitment to working with childrenDRIVEN: Have a strong sense of personal responsibilityFLEXIBLE: Adapt to meet the needs of students and a startup work environment
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
