The Learning Community Experience Internwill support the Learning Community Experience (LCE) function in strengthening learner engagement, participation, and retention within both physical hub spaces and virtual platforms.

This role focuses on improving learner activation, supporting at-risk learners, coordinating engagement activities, and ensuring clear communication across the learner journey. The intern will play a key role in helping build a structured, inclusive, and high-participation learning environment that drives consistency and success.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and execution of engagement initiatives to increase participation at the hub and across digital platforms.
  • Assist in planning and delivering community events such as workshops, AMAs, study halls, peer learning sessions, and onboarding activations.
  • Drive attendance through structured promotion, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and learner-centered hub environment.
  • Support in identifying learners who may be at risk of disengagement and help provide simple intervention efforts.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to learner inquiries.
  • Assist with onboarding and integration of new learners into the community.
  • Support peer mentorship and accountability initiatives.
  • Execute communication plans across WhatsApp, email, and other community platforms.
  • Ensure clear and consistent messaging regarding events, deadlines, and support opportunities.
  • Support cross-functional coordination between learners, mentors, coordinators, and internal teams.
  • Escalate learner concerns appropriately when required.
  • Collect and organize learner feedback through surveys, polls, and check-ins.
  • Track participation metrics and support reporting.
  • Analyze basic engagement data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute actionable ideas to enhance the learner experience.
  • Support identification and activation of learner ambassadors or community champions.
  • Encourage ownership and active participation within the hub.
  • Stay informed on community engagement best practices and contribute to improvements.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Communications, Marketing, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Experience supporting student groups, communities, events, or engagement initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage respectfully with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Basic data literacy (ability to track attendance, participation, and simple engagement metrics).
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Full time Internship position

The required work hours are 40hrs per week

Due to the considerable amount of virtual working and interaction with colleagues and customers in different physical locations internationally, it is essential that the successful applicant has the drive and ethic to succeed working in small teams physically but in larger efforts virtually. Self-drive to communicate constantly using web collaboration and video conferencing is essential. As an employee, you will be encouraged to continually develop your capability & attain certifications to reflect your growth as an individual.
