We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented menswear professional to support the strategy, execution, and ongoing performance of our men’s assortment.  In this role, you will collaborate closely with Technical Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and Merchandise Planning to bring products to market that meet customer needs and business objectives.  You will own category strategies from concept through clearance, translating technical product details into customerfacing stories, defining pricing architecture, and using datadriven insights to guide assortment, quantity, and lifecycle decisions. With a strong pulse on fashion and market trends, you will influence style, fit, colour, and fabric direction to build, monitor and champion the menswear assortment. 
  • Motivate, guide, and support a group of high-performing teams in partnership with senior leadership to build an exciting, inspired, financially grounded Menswear assortment that meets our corporate strategic goals. 
  • Help develop menswear-specific category strategies that align with the merchandise framework and financials through the use and review of multiple data sources. 
  • Clearly and proactively communicate strategies to leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate planning and execution. 
  • Collaborate with Merchandise Planning team to assess current assortment sales and sell through rates, predict future assortment needs, and make recommendations to divest from underperforming styles.
  • Regularly analyze assortment performance to inform strategic decisions, including expanding high-performing styles and categories to drive growth across the men’s business. 
  • Own category pricing architecture, ensuring products are positioned within a clear Good/Better/Best framework to support value perception and assortment balance. 
  • Partner with Sourcing and Product Development teams during the entire development process to ensure the merchant vision is preserved through the men’s assortment. 
  • Work directly with Technical Design to create seasonal product knowledge assets for eCommerce, translating technical details into compelling, customer-facing narratives that highlight features and benefits, fabrications, and styling recommendations. 
  • Review Sales and Returns data regularly. Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure high Return rate styles are identified quickly and appropriate actions are taken to improve. 
  • Analyze buying patterns and the needs of  Tall customers by leveraging market research, assessing competitors, and soliciting feedback from the Tall community regarding current and future assortment initiatives. 
  • Be intimately aware of fashion trends, style/fit nuances, new and emerging brands and retailers, and retail market trends. 
  • There will be additional responsibilities as required. 
    • 3-5 years experience with proven success in Buying, Planning and/or Merchandising role. 

    • Strong understanding of the Product Development lifecycle from sampling through production stages. 

    • Sound knowledge of purchasing principles and retail math; product development and sourcing experience is ideal. 

    • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to inspire confidence, excite cross-functional teams, and influence leadership around assortment direction. 

    • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done. 

    • Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor. 

    • Passionate about fashion, retail, and e-commerce.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc).
    • Must have a positive attitude. 

    • Excellent communication skills and organization skills. 

    • Adaptable, positive, and comfortable with ambiguity and change. 

    • Keen interest in textile product development. 

    • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines.    

    • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 

    • A self-starter who takes ownership of their work.
