amika is looking for an Art Director, Social to join our in-house creative team and lead how the brand shows up across social platforms. This role is ideal for an art director who is a self-starter, thrives in fast-paced environments, and thinks natively in social-first ideas, formats, and visual language.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Concept and art direct all social-first content, including organic, paid, and campaign extensions
- →Translate brand and campaign ideas into platform-native social executions that feel timely, bold, and culturally relevant
- →Lead social content captures, including in-house shoots, creator content, BTS, and quick-turn moments
- →Create social content ranging from designed graphics to video content.
- →Direct talent, creators, and stylists to ensure content feels authentic, elevated, and on-brand
- →Partner closely with video editors and motion designers to shape final social edits, guiding pacing, framing, typography, and overall visual tone for social content
- →Ensure all social assets maintain creative integrity while adapting to different formats and aspect ratios
- →Collaborate with Creative, Social, and Marketing teams to support launches, initiatives, and always-on content
- →Stay deeply tapped into social trends, visual language, and platform best practices
- →Partner with Director of social to set up an ownable framework around our social content strategy
- →Push creative boundaries while ensuring consistency with amika’s brand POV
Requirements
~1 min read- 3+ years of professional experience as an Art Director or designer with a strong focus on social or digital content
- Proven background in content creation and graphic design, with the ability to concept and execute visually compelling on brand social work
- Proven self-starter who can independently own social creative from idea through execution
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, youtube, and short-form video best practices
- Experience leading content captures and collaborating closely with post-production
- Strong eye for composition, typography, motion, and visual storytelling
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or culture-driven brands
- Video editing experience (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar)
- Comfort working with creators, influencers, and talent
- Motion or animation experience (After Effects, social motion systems)
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere)
