If you’re looking to be part of a global force shaping the future of communication and connectivity, you’ve found it.   POSITION SUMMARY Amphenol Network Solutions is seeking a Field Electronics Technician to install, configure, test, and commission power and monitoring systems within modular data center enclosures and equipment shelters at manufacturing facilities in Shreveport, Louisiana.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The statements in this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents. Incumbents may perform other duties as assigned.   Power Systems Integration Install, inspect, and verify -48V DC power distribution, battery, busbar, breaker, fuse, grounding, and bonding systems. Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams; verify polarity, grounding, circuit protection, and compliance with engineering and customer requirements.   Network & Controls Configuration Configure and troubleshoot network-enabled monitoring and control equipment, including static IPs, subnet masks, gateways, DHCP and VLANs. Configure and test Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, RS-485, API and SNMP communications using web-based interfaces and command-line tools. Validate alarms and network communications before customer acceptance Testing & Commissioning Troubleshoot integration issues, document results and corrective actions, and support customer acceptance and sign-off. Minor electronics repair, replacing PCBA’ Customer & Cross-Functional Support Serve as the technical liaison among Amphenol, enclosure manufacturers, quality personnel, and customers. Provide project support, communicate status and risks, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project management teams. Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence.   EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Required Associate degree in electronics, telecommunications, network administration, or equivalent military training; or 3+ years of related experience in power integration, commissioning, telecommunications, industrial controls, or data center Preferred 5+ years of experience with telecommunications infrastructure, critical power, or modular data center systems. Experience with electrical and control drawings, telecom power and grounding practices, and manufacturing or mission-critical environments.   TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS DC Power Systems -48V DC architecture, distribution, breakers, fuses, batteries, grounding, bonding, cable routing, and high-current terminations.   Networking & Communications TCP/IP, static addressing, subnetting, Modbus, RS-485, SNMP, network troubleshooting, and browser- or command-line configuration.   Testing & Troubleshooting Electrical and electronic troubleshooting, use of test equipment, root cause analysis, and technical reporting.   LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE SKILLS Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining technical concepts to customers and stakeholders. Professional, collaborative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision   COMPUTER SKILLS Microsoft Office, network configuration and browser-based management platforms, electronic work instructions, and project documentation systems. Ability to learn proprietary monitoring and control systems.   PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds regularly; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Work safely around energized electrical systems, distinguish wiring colors, read technical drawings, and frequently use test equipment and computers.   WORK ENVIRONMENT Primarily on-site at facilities, working inside modular enclosures, equipment shelters, and data center assemblies. Regular exposure to industrial noise, electrical equipment, and active integration work, with frequent interaction across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and customer teams. Moderate travel may be required for commissioning, customer support, and training.   COMPENSATION Pay Range: $70,000-$85,000 Status: Exempt Bonus – This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on the performance of the Company.
