Attorney – Insurance Defense / General Liability / Workers’ Compensation- 3547539

Bachelor’s Degree required, Juris Doctor required. Must be licensed in Kansas or Missouri. Kansas attorneys must hold a Missouri license or be willing to obtain one.

Our client is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its growing defense practice. This role may be structured as full-time or part-time and is ideal for an attorney seeking flexibility while maintaining an active, meaningful litigation caseload.

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and/or general liability matters and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Kansas and Missouri.

• →Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
• →Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop strategic defense strategies
• →Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses
• →Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• →Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, trial, and ADR
• →Communicate strategy, risk analysis, and recommendations to clients
• →Collaborate with partners, clients, and claims professionals

• 4+ years of litigation experience in Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation, and/or General Liability
• Licensed in Kansas or Missouri (both preferred; willingness to obtain reciprocal licensure required if applicable)
• Strong motion practice and writing skills
• Ability to independently manage deadlines and caseload
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
