Junior Information Security Officer

We are looking for a Junior Information Security Officer to join our Information Security team. Our team is small and highly involved across the organisation. Responsibilities include: 

• Assist with the maintenance and review of information security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Support the Head of Information Security in monitoring compliance with internal security controls and regulatory requirements.
• Help coordinate routine security and compliance activities, including evidence collection for audits and assessments.
• Assist in vulnerability management activities by tracking remediation actions and following up with internal teams.
• Support the monitoring and logging of security incidents, including documenting findings and escalating issues where required.
• Help maintain security registers, risk logs, asset inventories, and other security-related documentation.
• Assist with third-party and supplier security due diligence activities.
• Support user access review processes and other routine security governance tasks.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives and help promote good security practices across the organisation.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and security metrics for internal stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with IT, Risk, Compliance, and other business teams on day-to-day security-related activities.
• Stay up to date with cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices through ongoing learning and development.
  
  

To fit within the Andaria team and as our new Junior
Information Security Officer, you should have:

• A strong interest in information security, cybersecurity, IT risk, or compliance.
• Basic understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and regulations such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and DORA.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts including vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, and risk management.
• Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interact professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A willingness to learn and collaborate across IT, Risk, Compliance, and business teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous academic, internship, or professional exposure to cybersecurity, IT, compliance, or regulated environments would be considered an asset.
• Experience within financial services, fintech, or EMI environments is considered an advantage but not required.
• Relevant certifications or ongoing studies are considered a plus.
