Management Accountant, Mindil Beach Casino Resort

Delaware North Australia is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the Finance team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance and Business Support, this newly created role is responsible for managing site financial reporting, analysis, and commercial performance within designated areas of our multi-faceted business.

Partnering closely with operational leaders, you will provide financial leadership, commercial insight, and robust governance to support informed decision-making, enhance profitability, and deliver strategic outcomes. You will lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• →Lead all accounting, financial control, and reporting activities
• →Prepare and consolidate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, forecasts, budgets, and management reports
• →Oversee payroll reporting and analysis, providing accurate and meaningful labour cost insights to support operational decision-making
• →Maintain robust financial controls, stocktake and inventory management processes, and cash handling procedures to ensure compliance
• →Partner with operational leaders to deliver commercial insights, identify performance trends, and drive profitability across the business
• →Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and risk management outcomes
• →Contribute to strategic initiatives, system enhancements, process improvements, and key finance projects to support business growth and operational excellence

• Tertiary qualification with CA/CPA or equivalent accreditation
• 3–5 years’ experience in a leadership role in management accounting, financial reporting, or commercial finance within a complex operating environment
• Strong people leadership skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Proven success in driving revenue growth, maximising profitability, and providing commercial leadership within gaming, hotel, hospitality or related environments
• Advanced financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Highly adaptable, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and support a range of business functions as required
• Ability to hit the ground running and contribute effectively from commencement in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an NT Casino Operative Licence
