The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate reimbursement activities internally and between Cook Taiwan and the NHIA - National Health Insurance Administration.The role will also provide support for regulatory operations as needed.

 

Responsibilities

  • Submit reimbursement applications to the NHIA to facilitate the market access of new Cook technologies.
  • Maintain the database of reimbursement price approvals and projects.
  • Communicate the status of reimbursement projects directly to the manager and other internal team members.
  • Understand the national reimbursement regulations in Taiwan. Draw attention to healthcare policy issues.
  • Manage necessary updates to maintain reimbursement through the product lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback to sales divisions about the likely reimbursement of new products and identify potential challenges for coverage and/or pricing.
  • Respond to inquiries from Cook customers about reimbursement matters.
  • Provide support and training to internal teams about reimbursement.
  • Represent the company as a member of industry organizations.
  • Provide back-up support to the regulatory team as needed.
  • Support regulatory operations work, including preparation and submission of notification to Taiwan FDA or local authorities. Scope of notifications could include change notification and Ad/Promo materials review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Public Health or any other related disciplines
  • Preferably with at least 3 year of working experience, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in negotiating with regulatory authorities would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • For candidates with more experience, it will be considered as Senior Reimbursement Specialist.
  • Be technically astute, solution oriented and receptive to challenges
  • Reliable, punctual and dependable
  • Analytical approach to problem solving with innovative thinking
  • Highly organised with a strong focus on attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills including listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, and attend meetings outside normal working hours as required to support business initiatives.
