The Applications Engineer serves as a key technical resource supporting our sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams in the development of custom cooling solutions and thermal management systems. This role combines engineering analysis, customer interaction, proposal development, and project support to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer specifications and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • →Design and develop custom cooling packages and thermal management solutions utilizing principles of heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
  • →Analyze and evaluate the performance of radiators, oil coolers, charge air coolers, and related heat exchange products.
  • →Provide technical sales support to OEM customers and channel partners.
  • →Generate cost estimates, proposals, and quotations while supporting follow-up activities to secure new business opportunities.
  • →Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches and on-time delivery.
  • →Support customer meetings, technical reviews, and on-site cooling performance testing as needed.
  • →Manage post-award activities to ensure products meet customer performance and functional requirements.
  • →Monitor field performance and customer feedback and recommend product improvements when appropriate.
  • →Participate in new product development initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • →Contribute to Lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
  • →Maintain technical documentation and engineering records in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of engineering, applications engineering, thermal systems, heat transfer, or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid flow, and cooling system performance.
  • Experience interpreting engineering specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience supporting OEM customers in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with automotive, off-highway, heavy equipment, power generation, or industrial cooling applications.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Experience with thermal analysis, CFD tools, or engineering design software.
