  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic disorders in both clinic and hospital settings.
  • Gradually expand responsibilities to include oncology patient management.
  • Collaborate closely with the supervising physician to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide continuity of care and manage patient needs when the physician is out of office.
  • Assist with treatment authorizations, insurance appeals, peer-to-peer reviews, and other clinical documentation requirements.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease management.
  • Participate in occasional weekend rounding as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

 

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, including Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), or other relevant certification.
  • Active Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant license, or ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient management skills
  • Previous Hematology and/or Oncology experience, preferred
