Responsibilities may include:
-Apply and enforce DISA STIGs across enterprise network infrastructure to ensure strict adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity compliance and hardening standards.
-Operate in multi-vendor network environments, ensuring seamless interoperability, configuration, and troubleshooting across Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, and other enterprise hardware platforms.
-Leverage a strong networking background and programming skills (such as Python, SQL, etc) to automate network deployment reviews, build custom tooling, and streamline network compliance.
-Collaborate effectively within team while simultaneously self-managing independent projects from initial start through execution with minimal supervision.
-Review technical design documents and contractual requirements to accurately translate specifications and ensure compliance within network configurations.
-Hold an active Cisco CCNA certification (CCNP preferred), demonstrating deep technical knowledge of routing, switching, and enterprise network architecture.
-Audit third-party integrator’s network deployments, ensuring that configuration, engineering design, and security requirements are executed and compliant.
-Ability to research, grasp, and work with emerging network innovations under limited timelines to ensure enterprise infrastructure implementations are secure and complaint.
-Hands on experience with automated network compliance tools to continuously audit configurations, identify network deficiencies, and streamline security reporting across campus and enterprise architectures.
-Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:
-Must be a U.S. Citizen
-Must hold an Active Secret Clearance
-Advanced degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD, or a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 year must be in the DoD, or 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, of which 8 year must be in the DoD.
All positions at Applied Research Solutions are subject to background investigations. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
The annual salary range: $122k - $145k. Salary is dependent upon the role and associated responsibilities, candidate's experience, and qualifications to include education/training, and key skills.
