Merchandiser I - Hutchinson, KS

Job Description:
The position of Merchandiser 1 will report to the area Commercial Manager and will work in concert with the Overland Park merchandising group and local Management. The Merchandiser 1 will be tasked with building and maintaining producer relationships, developing a working knowledge of grain markets and marketing, determining and growing market share, developing and/or delivering grain market information and education programs to producers, hosting appreciation and informational meetings for the local elevators, overseeing the company truck activities for the hub and generally promoting the company through phone calls and face to face visits with producers and customers. Must also adopt, promote and demonstrate the ADM safety culture. This position calls for occasional extended hours during harvest or at times as the Manager determines necessary.

Requirements:

• Qualified candidates should have a B.A or B.S degree and have proficient computer skills.
• Candidates need to be self starting and the ability to make sound decisions that promote producer relationships while maximizing profit potential.
• The ability to speak in public, cold call and communicate effectively with all involved is a must. Candidate must possess a passion to learn and a willingness to work hard to grow themselves and the company.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
