Part time

CC014300 Audiology - Little Rock

PRN schedule - must be currently enrolled in Audiology graduate program

Provides a wide range of audiological services under the supervision of a certified, licensed Audiologist.

Bachelor's degree - Enrolled in a graduate program in Audiology

Entry Level - Experience not Required.

1. With supervision, reviews medical records and interviews parent/caregiver to obtain pertinent health information and relevant patient histories prior to each evaluation to determine a developmentally appropriate protocol.

2. Utilizes Cross-Creek Principle with each patient to make a reliable and valid judgement and seeks assistance from other staff to enhance the evaluation integrity and completeness.

3. Under supervision, assists in the selection, verification, and management of amplication needs for identified patients.

4. Pre-selects appropriate device(s) and ear molds based on audiometric configuration, patients listening environment and level of functioning.

5. Uses appropriate software in pre-selection and programming stages of the fitting process.

6. Confirms selection through functional and objective measures.

7. Assists with the Hearing Aid/ALD Loaner Bank and documents and routes repairs to appropriate manufacturer.

8. Generates appropriate documents for recordkeeping, reporting and referrals with appropriate supervision. This includes: a) completing the summary section of the audiogram and the date of service obtaining supervisor signature and routing to medical records, b) completing documentation and entries regarding patients in electronic databases and including those for scheduling and for amplication fittings, c) completes and routes charge sheets, follow-up forms, and patient education forms as directed.

9. Completes assigned tasks relative to EARS; Infant Hearing Screening; HOP/outreach screening; amplification/calibration repairs and maintenance projects.

10. Completes all other duties as assigned by the director or his/her designee.
