Job Summary:

The position has the single point of accountability to lead the Global General Ledger and Global Intercompany with a focus on process optimization, efficiency improvement, standardization of transactional processing, reconciliation and documentation.
Has overall accountability for maintaining a robust financial control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX, internal controls, corporate policies, and statutory requirements.
This person is expected to possess comprehensive knowledge of the general ledger and sub ledger processes, transactional and administrative activities. The position possesses an in-depth knowledge of above listed functions, their financial and general accounting related impacts. Understanding organizational resources, priorities, requirements and policies are also critical.
Organization and communication skills are vital in this area and the incumbent must be capable of ensuring a proper follow-up of open issues and of dealing with tight deadlines. This person performs root cause analysis to support internal customers and to achieve required business results.

Manage the daily operation and timely month end close of locations supported by Hungarian FAS - European and North American General Ledger and Global Intercompany process.
Lead and develop General Ledger and Intercompany SMEs, providing technical direction, operational oversight, coaching, and governance to ensure consistent execution, strong controls, process standardization, and achievement of financial shared services objectives.
Provide governance and oversight of outsourced service providers, establishing performance expectations, monitoring SLAs and KPIs, resolving escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Resolve problems and ensures customer satisfaction. Uses creativity and judgment to develop solutions to complex problems.
Continuously seeks opportunities for standardization and efficiency improvement, to eliminate process inefficiencies and manual intervention. Update procedures and documentations upon needs.
Ensures controlled environment and the continuous compliance with internal/external audit and SOX requirements.
Supports other regions to establish processes within strong control environment. Supports them in the general activities and also in implementations and system upgrades.
Ensuring statutory requirements are met in every country serviced (TAX, reporting).
Operate effectively in a global environment, collaborating across multiple countries, cultures, currencies, and regulatory frameworks.
Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with and leverage learning between Arconic's three regions - Europe, Asia, North America
Drive digital transformation initiatives through automation, system enhancements, data analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and process simplification to improve quality, controls, and efficiency.

Lead and oversee General Ledger and Global Intercompany operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing, timely month-end and year-end close activities, and high-quality account reconciliations.
Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance service quality across regions.
Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, corporate policies, statutory requirements, and financial management guidelines.
Manage, coach, and develop team members, including performance management, talent development, workforce planning, and hiring activities.
Support and lead global finance projects, including ERP implementations, system upgrades, business transformations, acquisitions, divestitures, and process transitions.
Foster effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, outsourced service providers, and regional finance teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience gained in financial areas
Proficiency in English language required. Any further language skill is an advantage
Knowledge of the functions, organizational systems, information systems, directional and coordination mechanisms
