Mechanical Craftsperson C3

Arconic is currently in search of Maintenance Mechanical Craftsperson to join our Kitts Green Team based in Birmingham.

In this role, you will:

• →Work towards understand all Mechanical Principles and a good understanding of Process control.
• →A good grasp and understanding of mechanical workings.
• →Work safely and have a good understanding of all EHS requirements and contractor control.
• →Ensure you work in a safe manner and comply with all polices.
• →To engage in projects/activities as required.
• →To assist in improving Plant and equipment “up-time”
• →Coach and mentor apprentices and others as required.
• →Responsibility for all aspects of maintenance (Planned Maintenance/Corrective Maintenance/Reactive Maintenance/etc).
• →To be able to review and critically analyze engineering drawings.
• →To have a high competency of IT usage i.e. Microsoft Word and internal systems. 
• →To be capable of working with contractors and on-site personnel.
• →Attention to detail.
• →To be able to work within a team or on your own.
• →Support area maintenance teams with issues and breakdowns.
• →Proactive approach and be self-motivated to achieve goals and targets.
• →Have a knowledge of hydraulics/drive systems/etc

You have: (required) 

• →Mechanical time served apprenticeship to minimum of NVQ level 3.
• →Experience or a strong desire to work within a manufacturing/production environment.
• →Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
• →Prior experience within an industrial setting is essential.
• →Ability to work with others (at all levels of the organization) and have a positive “can do” attitude.
