The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for managing the manpower and vacation scheduling for departmental production covering approximately 400 hourly employees.
In this role, you will:
- Schedule and communicate manpower for Sheet Finishing and Rolling resource employees.
- Schedule departmental Sheet Finishing and Rolling employees for physicals and training as needed.
- Resolve system issues for departmental vacation and scheduling.
- Process time-off requests.
- Update employee shift or area change requests.
- Coach hourly employees/salary employees as needed with overtime/vacation systems, processes, and contractual requirements.
- Manage the retirement process for hourly Sheet Finishing and Rolling employees
- Prepare quarterly and weekly reports and presentations as needed.
- Communicate notifications to hourly employees.
You have: (required)
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional experience scheduling and/or coordinating large amounts of information/details
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Program
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Union environment experience – frequent interaction with union employees
