Arena is the platform for evaluating how AI models perform in the real world. Founded by researchers from UC Berkeley's SkyLab, we're on a mission to measure and advance the frontier of AI for real-world use, and to build the foundation for everyone to understand, shape, and benefit from it.
Tens of millions of people use Arena each month to evaluate how frontier systems handle the work they actually do. The preferences they share power the most transparent, rigorous, and human-centered evaluations in AI. Leading AI labs, enterprises, and independent researchers rely on our work and open datasets to understand how models behave in real workflows: agentic coding, creative generation, professional productivity, and beyond. We go beyond leaderboards and decompose what human experience reveals about AI, so models advance toward the work people actually do.
We're a team of researchers, academics, builders, and creatives from UC Berkeley, Google, Stanford, and DeepMind. We seek truth, move fast, and value craftsmanship, curiosity, and impact over hierarchy. We're building a company where thoughtful, curious people from all backgrounds can do their best work together, in an office culture that radiates excellence, energy, and focus.
About the Role
~2 min readArena is looking for a senior growth marketer to help define and drive how we grow our products and lines of business. This is a high-ownership role for someone who combines strong growth and product strategy, analytical rigor, and hands-on execution, with a proven track record of building and scaling growth programs that drive meaningful business outcomes.
You’ll identify Arena’s highest-leverage growth opportunities, quantify their potential, develop strategies to capture them, and own programs from hypothesis through execution, measurement, and iteration. You’ll work across the full growth funnel — from acquisition and activation through engagement, retention, conversion, and monetization — using channels and levers including SEO/AEO, paid acquisition, email, web, programmatic growth, PLG, launches, and emerging AI-native distribution.
This role goes beyond managing individual channels or campaigns. You’ll own growth problems and KPIs, use data to determine which levers are most likely to move them, build the strategy and experimentation roadmap, and partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to turn opportunities into shipped experiences and scalable growth systems.
We’re looking for someone who has already built and scaled meaningful growth programs, is comfortable being accountable for business outcomes, and can move fluidly between setting strategy, analyzing data, influencing product decisions, and doing the hands-on work required to bring ideas to life.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →
Identify, build, and scale growth programs that drive acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, and revenue across Arena’s products and lines of business
- →
Apply data-driven thinking and experimental design to understand growth drivers, quantify impact, and inform where we invest and scale
- →
Own growth initiatives end-to-end: identify the opportunity, define the KPI and strategy, develop hypotheses, execute campaigns and experiments, analyze results, and determine what to scale or change
- →
Build and manage growth strategies across channels including SEO/AEO, email, paid acquisition, web, programmatic growth, launches, PLG, and emerging AI-native distribution
- →
Own campaign and growth KPIs and establish clear measurement frameworks for understanding incremental impact and business outcomes
- →
Partner closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to turn growth opportunities into shipped experiences, campaigns, and scalable systems
- →
Develop strategies for reaching Arena’s distinct audiences, including consumers, developers, researchers, AI labs, and enterprise customers
- →
Translate product and company priorities into integrated growth strategies across channels rather than treating each channel independently
- →
Build repeatable growth systems and processes that allow successful experiments and campaigns to scale
- →
Communicate growth strategy, performance, insights, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional partners and senior leadership
- →
Bring strong strategic judgment while remaining close enough to execution to write, analyze, build, QA, launch, and iterate when needed
Requirements
~2 min read8+ years of experience in growth marketing, product growth, performance marketing, or a similarly analytical and execution-oriented growth role
Proven track record of owning growth goals and driving measurable improvements in acquisition, activation, engagement, conversion, retention, or revenue

Strong understanding of LTV, retention, monetization, and unit economics and how they inform growth strategy and investment

Familiarity with the AI/ML landscape and strong curiosity about models, agents, benchmarks, and evaluations
