| Job Summary: |
Under general supervision and as directed, organize, review, and comment on project schedules. Develop and update critical path schedules and estimates of contract time, maintain project information, use scheduling tools to monitor the projects as planned, conduct scheduling and delay analysis, review resource and cost loaded schedules, and prepare reports using Critical Path Method (CPM). Maintains Road User Cost spreadsheets and reviews calculations. Complete other tasks as needed for the Construction Group.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

| Job Duties: |
Evaluate, review, and comment on contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules. Complete, comment, and analyze reports. Use Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools for analysis and review. Assist in Value Engineering Study processes.
Maintain Road User Cost spreadsheets and review calculations.
Assess schedule performance and specification compliance to meet the on-time delivery and performance goals of the department.
| Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
Knowledge of:
- Construction processes for highway projects.
- Contract specifications and procedures.
- Project development process for highway projects.
- Project management techniques.
- Engineering principles of highway construction.
Skill in:
- Utilization of project scheduling software including activity and logic development, critical path method analysis, resource loading, target and variance analysis and reporting.
- Creating and maintaining complex networks.
- Utilizing various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Primavera, SureTrack and Access.
Ability to:
- Research, read, and interprets a variety of technical information and documents.
- Discuss and evaluate new proposals for complex applications with users and prepare detailed specifications for automated procedures.
- Coordinate and direct activities within a project including time, cost schedule, and quality review points.
| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
Arizona PE Licensure is required for this position. A candidate who holds an active PE in another state will be required to meet registration requirements set forth by the Arizona Technical Board of Registration and attain an Arizona PE from the Board within 6 months of employment start date.
This position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, and the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
