Melbourne Based | Permanent, Full Time | WFH Flexibility
Join a business investing in best-in-class planning capability, systems and ways of working to transform how we make decisions across our end-to-end supply chain.
As Planning Manager - Supply Chain (IBP), you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and evolving our Integrated Business Planning capability. Working across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance and senior leadership, you’ll turn complex scenarios into clear choices and influence the decisions that balance service, risk and cost.
This is an opportunity to shape how IBP works in practice. You’ll bring together data, financial insight and diverse perspectives to create an integrated supply plan, challenge assumptions and help leaders navigate trade-offs with confidence. You’ll also be central to lifting planning maturity as we embed new systems, capabilities and ways of working.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead and continuously improve the Supply Chain IBP process, bringing functions together around an integrated view of supply, demand, risk and opportunity.
- →Influence senior and executive stakeholders, translating complex supply chain scenarios and trade-offs into clear recommendations and business decisions.
- →Optimise supply chain plans and network responses, balancing customer service, risk and cost to deliver sustainable business outcomes.
- →Lead scenario planning and facilitate the development of the Integrated Supply Plan across procurement, manufacturing, storage and delivery.
- →Bring a strong commercial and financial lens to planning decisions, helping stakeholders understand the financial implications, choices and opportunities within the plan.
- →Drive collaboration across Demand, Inventory, Distribution, Production, Materials, Commercial and Finance to resolve issues and build alignment around key decisions.
- →Lead change and build planning capability, improving IBP maturity while helping teams adopt new systems, processes and ways of working.
- →Navigate complexity and ambiguity with resilience, creating structure and momentum where the path forward is not always clear.
You’re a strategic and commercially minded planning leader who can see the bigger picture while remaining grounded in what is operationally achievable. You’re comfortable engaging senior leaders, constructively challenging thinking and using data, scenarios and financial insight to build alignment around difficult choices.
Importantly, you bring hands-on experience working within an IBP environment and understand what it takes to turn an IBP process into meaningful business decisions.
You’ll bring:
- Demonstrated Integrated Business Planning (IBP) experience, ideally gained within FMCG, manufacturing or another complex supply chain environment.
- Strong executive influencing and stakeholder management capability, with the confidence to facilitate challenging conversations and create alignment across functions and leadership levels.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience assessing the cost and financial implications of supply chain decisions. The role itself has significant influence across distribution and warehousing, direct procurement and manufacturing P&L outcomes.
- Experience in planning optimisation, with the ability to evaluate scenarios and strike the right balance between service, risk, capacity and cost.
- A track record of driving meaningful change, improving planning processes, capability or ways of working and bringing stakeholders on the journey.
- Resilience and adaptability when working through complexity and ambiguity, with the ability to create clarity and maintain momentum.
- Broad understanding of supply planning, logistics and the wider business, ideally complemented by experience across areas such as manufacturing, procurement, inventory or planning.
- Experience with advanced planning or network optimisation technology will be well regarded.
