Server Assistant (PT)- Hotel Peter and Paul

We are seeking a Server Assistant / Food Runner to keep the pace and polish of our full-service cafe moving from the

kitchen to the table. In this role, you are responsible for delivering food and beverages accurately and

promptly, supporting servers and bartenders, and making sure every dish reaches the guest at its best.

The ideal Food Runner is quick, organized, and observant, someone who takes pride in a plate landing at

the right table, at the right temperature, exactly as the kitchen intended. They communicate clearly with

the kitchen and the floor, anticipate what a table needs before it's requested, and keep their energy up

and their attitude warm through a packed brunch rush. Great runners are the connective tissue of a dining

room, and they treat every delivery as a small moment of hospitality.

• →Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to the correct tables promptly and at proper temperature
• →Confirm each dish against the ticket and table position number to ensure order accuracy
• →Present dishes with a brief, friendly description and confirm any modifications or allergy notes
• →Communicate clearly with kitchen and expo regarding order timing, corrections, and special requests
• →Support servers by checking in on tables, refilling water, and noticing when a guest needs assistance
• →Clear plates, reset tables, and assist with bussing during peak periods
• →Maintain knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and common allergens to answer basic guest questions confidently
• →Set up and stock service stations, including silverware, napkins, condiments, and glassware
• →Carry multiple plates and trays safely and efficiently through a busy dining room
• →Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen handling procedures
• →Assist with opening and closing duties, including side work and station cleanliness
• →Work as part of the front-of-house team, stepping in wherever needed to keep service running smoothly

• Prior food runner, busser, or restaurant experience preferred; motivated newcomers are welcome
• Working knowledge of food safety and allergen awareness; Food Handler's card required or ability to obtain promptly
• Ability to carry multiple plates and trays safely, and to lift up to 30 lbs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent memory and attention to detail, especially with table numbers and seat positions
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Friendly, upbeat demeanor and a genuine desire to make guests feel taken care of

Position is property-based, with ongoing standing and walking throughout the shift. Flexible schedule

including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected around business levels, key team milestones,

events, or employee relations matters. Ability to sit, stand, walk, for extended periods of time and the

ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
