Work with civil servant facility leads, building managers, and engineering personnel to move FM requests through review and approval workflows.
Ensure all facility change requests adhere to NASA policies, safety requirements, and operational constraints.
Maintain status logs, foresee potential bottlenecks, and provide regular updates to directorate management on FM progress.
FOM (Facility Operations & Maintenance) Support
Assist facility operations staff with routine and emergent maintenance coordination.
Track maintenance tickets, follow up with FOM teams, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Support planning around scheduled outages, repairs, or major facility upgrades.
Provide updates to directorate management regarding FOM activities affecting personnel or mission work.
Serving as the Center’s super FOM (overseeing all FOMs, unless Code 200 appoints somebody different)
Organizational & Logistical Support
Provide cross-organizational logistical support spanning meeting coordination, distribution list updates, building access support, and operational notifications.
Collaborate with project and program teams to ensure their facility and space needs are met throughout evolving mission phases.
Coordinate with directorate leadership to model this role after similar positions in other NASA organizations, as requested.
Communication & Reporting
Serve as the point of contact for all space and facilities-related inquiries within the directorate.
Prepare summaries, updates, and briefings for leadership regarding facility status, space assignments, FM activity pipelines, and FOM actions.
Engage with internal teams (e.g., Logistics, IT, Safety, Records, and Facilities units) to ensure alignment across operational activities.
Required Qualifications
Experience supporting facilities, space planning, operations, or logistics in a complex technical or government environment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask across multiple operational areas.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical, administrative, and leadership personnel.
