Responsibilities

  • Analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application using CFD, FEA or airflow analysis with supervision.
  • Design components of systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems with supervision.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers in directing personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers in directing and coordinating fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate operations, maintenance, and repair activities with supervision.
  • Assist Mechanical Engineers in evaluating field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
  • Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
  • Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.
  • Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
  • Cooperate with Auditors.
  • Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
  • Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
