Atlas Advisors, LLC (ATLAS) is seeking qualified and experienced Firefighters to support anticipated fire protection and emergency response operations at U.S. military installations overseas, specifically in Kuwait and Iraq. These opportunities may include Firefighter, Firefighter/EMT, and Firefighter Driver/Operator positions, supporting structural firefighting, aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF), emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, and fire prevention activities. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong firefighting skills, relevant certifications, and the ability to operate effectively in demanding overseas environments. Candidates with Department of Defense (DoD) firefighting experience, specialized emergency response qualifications, and previous overseas deployment experience are strongly encouraged to apply. These positions are contingent upon applicable staffing requirements. Specific opportunities and qualifications may vary by position and location. Key Responsibilities / What You Do Respond to structural fires, aircraft emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, medical emergencies, and rescue operations. Perform fire suppression, search and rescue, and emergency response activities in accordance with established procedures. Drive and operate firefighting apparatus, including engines, ladder trucks, water tenders, and aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicles, as qualified and assigned. Operate fire pumps, hoses, nozzles, foam systems, hydrants, and other firefighting equipment. Provide emergency medical assistance, including CPR, Basic Life Support (BLS), patient assessment, stabilization, and support to emergency medical personnel, as qualified. Conduct fire prevention inspections, preincident planning, and emergency preparedness activities. Inspect, maintain, and ensure the operational readiness of firefighting vehicles, equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment. Participate in recurring training, emergency response exercises, and professional development activities. Maintain accurate incident reports, equipment records, and operational documentation. Comply with applicable DoD, NFPA, environmental, health, and safety requirements. Support additional emergency response and fire department operations as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Professional firefighting experience, with minimum experience requirements varying by position. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Applicable IFSAC or Pro Board certifications, including: Firefighter II Hazardous Materials Operations Airport Firefighter (ARFF) Driver/Operator Pumper Driver/Operator Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Driver/Operator Mobile Water Supply CPR and First Aid Ability to meet applicable medical, physical fitness, and respiratory protection requirements. Ability to perform physically demanding firefighting and emergency response duties in hazardous environments and extreme weather conditions. Willingness and ability to deploy overseas and meet applicable employment and installation access requirements. Ability to maintain required certifications and participate in recurring training and emergency response exercises. Desired Qualifications The following qualifications may be required for specific positions depending on the assignment and location. High school diploma or equivalent. Firefighter I certification. Hazardous Materials Awareness certification. Hazardous Materials Technician certification. Hazardous Materials Mission Specific Competencies, Personal Protective Equipment, and Product Control certifications. Driver/Operator Aerial certification. Telecommunicator I or II certification. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or State EMT certification. Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS/AED certification. Minimum of two years of experience working on an emergency response ambulance. Minimum of two years of experience in an emergency healthcare setting. Minimum of five years of firefighting experience on a Department of Defense (DoD) installation. Experience operating specialized firefighting apparatus, including aerial devices. Valid driver's license and passport meeting applicable deployment validity requirements. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) or other required installation access credentials. Working Conditions Positions are located overseas, including Kuwait, Iraq, and potentially other locations. Work may involve exposure to extreme heat, dust storms, hazardous materials, and other challenging environmental conditions. Personnel must be capable of performing strenuous firefighting and rescue operations while wearing required protective equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus. Emergency response duties may require irregular schedules and availability for recall. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
