Responsibilities

→Operates forklift to load and unload trucks and move material throughout the facility.
→Works with Production Manager to develop a schedule that meets production needs.
→General understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment, operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
→Load or unload trucks either by hand, forklift, or by pallet jack.
- →Load to maximize board footage on trailers.
- →Maintain load sheets, verify counts and adjust shipping documents accordingly.
- →Unload incoming material and place in proper inventory area.
- →Inspect incoming material for damage and accurate count and notify supervisor of any discrepancies or damage.
→Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies and communicates with appropriate personnel to order replacement product as needed.

Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.
Prior forklift experience preferred.
Must be able to use simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools

Will be trained to become familiar with general safety.
Will be trained to become familiar with Quality System Awareness.

Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level, and tolerant of temperature changes for the entire shift.
