POSITION SUMMARYThe Vice President of Finance (VP Finance) is a senior enterprise leader responsible for leading Atlas’ financial planning, analytics, treasury, and investment finance capabilities across a rapidly growing, multi-market ambulatory surgery center (ASC) platform with physician and health system joint ventures.
Reporting to the CFO, this role partners directly with executive leadership and JV stakeholders to drive disciplined growth, capital stewardship, and clear, decision-oriented financial insight aligned with Atlas’ long-term strategy. The Vice President Finance translates ASC operational performance, JV economics, and capital strategy into concise, executive-level narratives that inform decision-making across Atlas leadership, JV boards, physicians, and health system partners. This leader ensures Atlas scales with financial discipline, transparency, and consistency across ASC operations, JV portfolios, and the management company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEnterprise Financial Leadership• Provide enterprise-wide financial leadership across development & investment finance, FP&A, and treasury.• Establish scalable finance operating models, accountability, and decision support across Atlas, ASC operations and JV partnerships.• Ensure consistent, executive-grade financial insight and liquidity visibility across all markets.Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance Management• Lead enterprise budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling.• Translate ASC operational drivers (volume, case mix, staffing, payor rates, supply cost, throughput) into actionable insight.• Deliver standardized, decision-oriented reporting for Atlas and JV stakeholders.• Oversee ASC and portfolio performance, including profitability and performance-to-plan.Treasury, Liquidity & Capital Management• Oversee treasury operations, including cash management, forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.• Partner with the CFO on capital planning, debt strategy, covenant compliance, and capital structure optimization.• Manage JV and ASC cash flows, distributions, capital calls, reserves, and intercompany funding.• Maintain disciplined controls over liquidity, working capital, and financial risk.Development, Investment & Integration Support• Lead financial underwriting and support for acquisitions, de novo developments, expansions, and strategic investments.• Oversee ROI analysis, capital deployment decisions, and post-close performance tracking.• Ensure financial and treasury readiness for new ASCs, including integration planning and execution.JV & Stakeholder Financial Leadership• Partner with JV stakeholders on financial performance, capital planning, and governance.• Lead JV board reporting, financial discussions, distributions, capital calls, and true ups.• Ensure transparent, consistent, and credible financial communication across stakeholders.Executive Communication & Board Reporting• Develop and present executive-level financial materials that clearly articulate performance, capital strategy, and growth.• Synthesize complex financial and operational data into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.• Present in Board, Finance Committee, and JV governance settings.Systems, Governance & Team Leadership• Strengthen FP&A and treasury systems, tools, and processes to support scale and accuracy.• Maintain strong financial governance, controls, and compliance.• Build and lead a high-performing finance organization, developing leadership depth across functions.• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Revenue Cycle, Accounting, Development, and Support Center Departments.• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership• Experience in high-growth, multi-entity environments (preferably healthcare)• Proven executive and board-level financial presentations• Expert in financial modeling and EPM platforms (Anaplan, Oracle, Workday)• Demonstrated success building and leading high performing finance teams• Strong executive communication and leadership presence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience in ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), physician practice management, or health system partnerships• Exposure to M&A, de novo development, or post-acquisition integration• Experience with debt facilities, covenant compliance, and capital structure management• Advanced degree or certification (MBA, CPA, CFA)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENT FACTORS OE - Typical Office Environment: • Requires extensive sitting with periodic standing and walking. • May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. • Requires significant use of computer, phone and general office equipment. • Needs adequate visual acuity, ability to grasp and handle objects. • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone. • May require off-site travel.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervisory and management of all positions designated to the Financial Planning & Analysis department. Including but not limited to the Directors, Managers, and assigned department support staff.
DIRECTLY REPORTINGReports to Chief Financial Officer
TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has full managerial scope and authority for employment actions, including coaching, candidate selection, training and development, performance appraisals, work assignments, and disciplinary action.
