Our client is a leading Electrical and Mechanical Engineering company specializing in Water/Wastewater infrastructure. Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Electrical Instrumentation Technicians to join our teams across the island of Ireland.
Role Overview
Reporting to a Site or Project Manager, the Electrical Instrumentation Technician will support the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems. The role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on active sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation and control equipment.
· Carry out electrical and instrumentation maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding.
· Install and configure sensors, transmitters, flow meters, level devices, and analytical instruments.
· Support commissioning of pumps, VSDs, MCC panels, and associated control systems.
· Interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and instrumentation schematics.
· Complete inspection reports, testing documentation, and calibration records.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and site procedures.
· Work collaboratively with site teams on installation, upgrade, and maintenance works.
· Trade equivalent (Level 6 ideally) qualification in Electrical/Electrical Instrumentation
· Instrumentation certification or calibration experience an advantage.
· 5+ years industry experience in electrical/instrumentation roles.
· Experience in Water/Wastewater, industrial, or process environments desirable.
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage workload on active sites.
· Full clean driving licence.
· Safe Pass & Manual Handling certificates.
· Mechanical aptitude an advantage.
