Material Handler

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.

• Forklift experience required; OSHA forklift and HAZMAT certifications preferred.

• Familiarity with warehouse and inventory systems; experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus.

• Effective reading and writing skills, with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

• Basic math skills and the ability to work accurately while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

• Ability to use proper lifting techniques to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work assigned shifts and consistently follow safety procedures.

• Receive inbound shipments: Safely unload trucks, trailers, and containers; count and inspect products; compare shipments with manifests; and document shortages, damage, mis-shipments, or other discrepancies.

• Store and move materials: Transport products to designated storage, staging, production, or shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, cherry pickers, or other approved equipment.

• Pick and prepare orders: Verify product numbers, quantities, lots, batches, and serial numbers; package, label, stencil, tag, band, bundle, wrap, overpack, and palletize orders as required.

• Process outbound shipments: Confirm quantities, labels, addresses, weights, and documentation; arrange carrier pickup; and safely load shipments into trucks, trailers, railcars, or containers.

• Maintain inventory accuracy: Keep accurate records, enter shipping and receiving data, process purchase-order receipts, support cycle counts and physical inventories, and ensure proper stock rotation.

• Use shipping systems: Enter required information in SAP / WMS inventory and shipping systems, UPS shipping software, and HAZMAT shipping software.

• Maintain products and equipment: Repack or re-box products, consolidate damaged goods, operate shrink-wrap equipment, charge forklift batteries, and separate usable and damaged pallets as needed.

• Support a safe, organized warehouse: Maintain clean equipment, docks, bays, trailers, and work areas; report security, health, or safety concerns promptly; and comply with company standards and OSHA requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support efficient department operations.

This position requires regular use of material-handling equipment and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper techniques. The successful candidate must be able to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced warehouse environment, manage competing deadlines, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
