  • Develop and implement sophisticated DSP algorithms and translate system concepts into robust, high-performance solutions.
  • Prepare complete project design documentation, including requirements, specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Design and conduct experiments; analyze and interpret data to validate system and component performance.
  • Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work to ensure technical quality and schedule adherence.
  • Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals to obtain funding for engineering projects and programs.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams across software, hardware, systems, and integration functions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and technical solutions that advance products, capabilities, and mission performance.

ITAR

U.S. Citizenship required. Must be willing to work on government contracts and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant DSP and/or communications engineering; or Master’s Degree and 6+ years’ experience; or a PhD with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in advanced digital signal processing algorithms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communications theory.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, preferably C or C++.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience with several systems and technologies outlined in Technical Competencies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one technical area.
  • Maintain working knowledge in a number of other specialization areas.
  • Software-defined radios (SDR)
  • Digital signal processing theory
  • Signal processing algorithm design and implementation
  • C/C++ programming
  • DSP validation
  • Software/hardware implementation, collaboration, and integration
  • System requirements analysis and traceability
  • Rate conversion, correlation, and filtering
  • Revision control tools (e.g., TFS, Git)

  • Generate creative solutions and translate concepts into effective designs.
  • Use feedback to refine and improve designs and technical approaches.
  • Develop innovative ideas and approaches; present information in a manner that captures others’ attention.
  • Participate in the patent process by proposing and documenting innovative concepts.

  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Gather and analyze information skillfully; develop and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Work effectively in group problem‑solving situations.
