Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications.  Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. Aviya has an opening for an Engine Diagnostics, Prognotics and Health Management Engineer to join our engineering group in Mississauga, Ontario. 
  • Support development of advanced engine performance condition trend monitoring algorithms.
  • Analyze steady state and transient engine trend data in support of engineering studies.
  • Support QCPC & field investigations related to turbine engine Performance, Operability, Control, and Mechanical subsystems.
  • Perform performance deterioration studies of engines operating in service.
  • Develop and implement scripts, algorithms, machine learning, data clustering and fault classification techniques within a relational database structure to manage, aggregate, and search data in support of advanced diagnostics and prognostics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Masters’ Degree is considered an asset.
  • 6s Statistical Process Control
  • Strong computer programming skills using the languages Python, R, C++, and/or C# (SSIS).
  • Familiar with data visualization techniques using (i.e., Matplotlib, HighCharts and/or PowerBI).
  • Proficient in MS SQL, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in Excel
  • Experience in turbomachinery performance modeling (i.e., SOAPP, FAST, NPSS, etc.) is an asset.
  • Experience supporting turbomachinery testing, data collection, or data reduction is preferred.
  • Knowledge of DataBricks is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of AWS and related services.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
