Responsibilities

Completing routine external inspections of reservoirs, water towers and other storage assets in line with the annual inspection programme.

Carrying out ROV internal inspections and supporting the collection of inspection and survey data.
- →
Using innovative surveying and inspection equipment to gather data on water-retaining structures and asset condition.
- →
Supporting water quality investigations and providing inspection data to operational and water quality teams.
- →
Identifying defects, raising maintenance requirements and escalating issues through the appropriate channels.
- →
Assisting operational teams with planned storage point outages and optimisation activities while minimising customer impact.
- →
Ensuring all inspection records, risk assessments and site documentation are accurately completed and maintained.

Supporting safety audits, contractor management activities and compliance with health and safety procedures.
- →
Contributing to optimisation projects and initiatives that improve asset performance, reliability and operational efficiency.

Working collaboratively with operational teams, engineers, contractors and delivery partners to deliver the storage point programme.

NVQ Level 2 qualification (minimum requirement).
Good knowledge of operational activities and maintenance practices.
Understanding of water treatment and associated operational processes.
Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems and inspection technologies.
Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues within your area of responsibility.
Customer-focused with a commitment to doing the right thing for customers and colleagues.
Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours activities when required.
Experience within the water industry, utilities or a similar operational environment.
Understanding of DWI regulations relating to materials and disinfection of potable water.
Experience of inspection, surveying, asset monitoring or ROV technology.
