What We Offer

✓Adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods and, per infection control protocols, preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program.

✓Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing.

✓Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, obtaining, and recording patient vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or imaging reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information.

✓Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed.

✓Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings.

✓Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients.

✓Completing form/requestions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed.

✓Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.

✓Performs other duties as assigned.

High school Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
Successful completion as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, CCMA, RMA or NCMAA required.
CPR/BLS Certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented evidence of medical assistant internship.
OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred.
EMR experience beneficial.
