This group partners closely with stakeholders across risk and technology to convert complex reporting needs into practical, actionable business intelligence solutions. The environment is collaborative, detail-oriented, and focused on building reliable dashboards, data models, and reporting tools that support critical business operations.
This is a long-term contract opportunity with a hybrid work model based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role offers the opportunity to work on business-critical reporting solutions, partner with risk technology stakeholders, and apply Power BI expertise in a regulated financial services environment.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that translate business requirements into clear insights.
- Connect to multiple data sources, transform data using Power Query, and create scalable, well-structured data models.
- Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to support business metrics, KPIs, and executive-level reporting needs.
- Publish, schedule, and manage report access while supporting secure, scalable reporting delivery.
- Optimize dashboard and report performance to improve usability, reliability, and stakeholder adoption.
- Partner with business and technology teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical BI solutions.
- Bring 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience; 7+ years of broader BI/reporting experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Proficiency with SQL and database management concepts.
- Experience creating advanced dashboards, reports, business metrics, and KPI visualizations.
- Familiarity with Power Automate for workflow automation.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud services is a plus.
- Exposure to Python, R, or other scripting languages is a plus.
- Understanding of REST APIs and application/data integration concepts is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
