Export Control Advisor, Lund

Are you passionate about export compliance and eager to play a key role in enabling global trade for a world leader in network video? We're looking for an Export Control Advisor to join our Trade Compliance team at our headquarters in Lund, Sweden.
 

In this role, you'll be at the heart of what makes Axis's global operations possible — ensuring our high-tech products reach customers worldwide, responsibly and compliantly. You'll work across borders, collaborate with teams from Legal to R&D to Sales, and directly shape the processes that keep Axis moving forward.

We are a highly performing diverse team consisting of fourteen skilled people of different ages, gender, nationality, knowledge, and background. The combination makes us strong and adds flavor and joy to our workplace.

Four people focus on Export Compliance, ensuring that Axis complies with Export Control regulations worldwide and that our high-tech products are not supplied to restricted countries, parties, or users.

In this role, you are central to safeguarding Axis's ability to operate and grow globally. By ensuring compliance with complex EU and US export control legislation, embargoes, and sanctions, you directly protect the company and enable our products to reach customers worldwide. You will work cross-functionally with Legal, R&D, Sourcing, Order, and Sales across regions. Below is example of tasks within the Axis Export Compliance team:

• →Serve as primary point of contact for Export Control matters.
• →Responsibility for ECCN classification of commodities under both EU and US legislation.
• →Gather required information and submit export license applications and determinations.
• →Conduct daily restricted party screenings.
• →Develop and improve processes concerning Export Control both global and regional, including defining business requirements for IT tool development.
• →Meet with Customs and Export Control Authorities where needed and represent Axis.
• →Providing internal training within the company.
