Assistant Director of Human Resources | AYANA Komodo

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Human Resources to join one of our properties in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the organization’s overall goals and objectives. You will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment and selection, employee and industrial relations, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, proven leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strategic mindset, with the ability to balance business objectives with employee needs.

• Design, implement, and manage HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, while effectively managing employee relations and employee benefits programs.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives and talent management programs, including succession planning and career development.
• Provide support in overseeing General Affairs (GA) functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure that HR strategies and initiatives support their respective departmental goals and objectives.
• Monitor and manage manpower planning, staffing levels, and HR-related expenses in collaboration with other departments.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, HR best practices, and employment regulations to ensure the organization maintains effective and compliant HR practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in HR roles, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial position within a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
• Strong understanding of labor laws and regulations.
• Experience managing a workforce of 250+ colleagues.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems.
• Proven experience in handling audits and developing SOPs.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to relocate to and live in Labuan Bajo, Flores.
