Senior Structural Engineer - Manchester

We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer who thrives on solving complex technical problems and delivering high‑quality structural design across aviation, nuclear, defence, industrial, rail, public sector, power and specialist infrastructure projects.

• →Leading structural design packages for small to medium projects, or owning key design elements within major multidisciplinary schemes
• →Producing and reviewing structural calculations, models, drawings and specifications
• →Applying strong working knowledge of UK design codes, including Eurocodes, National Annexes and British Standards
• →Carrying out detailed structural analysis using industry‑standard software
• →Contributing to project programmes and providing clear progress updates to senior engineers
• →Supporting tenders, fee proposals and technical scope development
• →Introducing practical, buildable structural solutions that improve sustainability and delivery outcomes
• →Mentoring junior structural engineers and supporting their technical development

• Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE with a strong structural focus)
• Strong experience delivering structural design for complex building or infrastructure projects
• Technical expertise across:
  • Steel, concrete, timber and masonry design
  • Foundation design, both shallow and deep
  • Structural assessments and refurbishment
  • Dynamic or seismic analysis, advantageous
• High proficiency in tools such as Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD, Robot or Tedds
• Experience working within integrated multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience within sectors such as aviation, defence, nuclear, rail, power or public sector is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and tools such as Navisworks
• Understanding of CDM duties and structural safety responsibilities
• CSCS card, eligibility for SC clearance, and a full UK driving licence
