Project Management Senior Specialist - Project Planning (M/F/D)

The Project Management Senior Specialist – Project Planning will cooperate with others to build the best solutions for our business. You will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. The role requires advanced expertise in proposal planning methodologies and practices, and the ability to apply them effectively to drive high-quality, competitive proposal development. 

As Project Management Senior Specialist – Project Planning, you will be responsible for:

• →Develop and maintain proposal schedules by integrating customer requirements, bid strategies, delivery assumptions and key milestones into an integrated planning scenario.
• →Support sales and commercial teams in the development of realistic and competitive schedules, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, procurement, manufacturing, and delivery requirements.
• →Perform schedule risk analysis to identify critical paths, schedule constraints, and potential bottlenecks, while working with cross-functional stakeholders to define mitigation and recovery plans.
• →Provide schedule leadership during the proposal phase, coordinating planning inputs from multiple functions and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with customer requirements and internal governance processes.
• →Prepare and maintain planning handover documentation, including proposal schedules, assumptions, risks, and key milestones, to ensure a seamless transition to the OTR planning team upon project award.
• →Advise and support functional managers and bid leaders on planning methodologies, scheduling practices, risk assessments, and process improvements within the area of proposal planning.
• →Monitor bid planning performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by capturing lessons learned, best practices, and planning benchmarks from previous proposals and executed projects.
• →Collaborate with OTR planning and project execution teams to ensure lessons learned, schedule performance data, and execution feedback are effectively incorporated into future bid and proposal planning activities.
• →Support customer interactions related to planning activities, providing schedule explanations, milestone justifications, and responses to planning-related clarifications during the proposal process.
• →Ensure compliance with company planning standards, tools, and methodologies, promoting consistency, accuracy, and quality across all proposal planning deliverables.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related discipline, from an accredited university or college.
• Have 5-8 years of work experience, with proven experience in project planning, proposal planning, project controls, or project execution, preferably in complex project environments, experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
• Have strong expertise in schedule development, critical path analysis, risk assessment, and planning methodologies throughout the bid and project lifecycle.
• Have excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional planning activities.
• Possess advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex proposal efforts simultaneously.
• Be proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office 365 applications (particularly Excel), and project management systems; experience with Oracle ERP, Power BI, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
• Be able to mentor others, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to planning excellence across the organization.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 45,087 To 83,000. The provisions of the Contratto Collettivo Dirigenti Industria will be applied to this position. Article three (3) of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
