Quality Team Leader – QC Engineering

As a Quality Team Leader – QC Engineering, you will lead Quality Control activities to ensure products and services meet defined specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. You will be responsible for overseeing inspection and testing activities, supporting operational performance, and driving quality improvement initiatives across manufacturing and project execution environments.

In this role, you will lead a team of inspectors and quality professionals while working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, and Customers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle.

• Leading the Quality Control team to ensure inspectors are appropriately trained, qualified, and prepared to perform inspection and testing activities.
• Supporting team development through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Promoting a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Ensuring inspection and testing activities are performed in accordance with product specifications, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company procedures.
• Monitoring compliance with quality management systems, inspection plans, and operational processes.
• Supporting verification activities including inspections, testing, Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities where applicable.

• Managing and improving key quality performance indicators including:
  • First Time Yield (FTY)
  • Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • On‑Time Delivery (OTD)
  • Inspection and testing effectiveness
• Identifying opportunities to improve quality performance and operational efficiency.
• Supporting root cause investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

• Providing Quality Control leadership during Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tendering and project execution phases.
• Ensuring contractual, customer, and regulatory quality requirements are effectively implemented.
• Supporting customer satisfaction through consistent quality delivery and proactive issue resolution.
• Capturing and applying lessons learned to improve execution processes and future projects.

• Leading initiatives that enhance product quality, operational effectiveness, and process consistency.
• Supporting quality risk reduction and prevention activities.
• Driving continuous improvement programs aligned with business objectives.
• Utilizing data and performance metrics to support decision‑making and action planning.

• Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Customers to support quality objectives.
• Communicating quality priorities, business goals, and performance expectations effectively across teams.
• Building strong cross‑functional relationships that support successful project and operational outcomes.
  
  

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. (Or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of quality-related experience.)
• Bring a minimum of 3 additional years of experience in QC Engineering.
• Demonstrate experience leading quality inspection, verification, or quality control activities.
• Possess strong knowledge of quality management principles, inspection processes, and quality assurance systems.
• Have experience supporting manufacturing, project execution, or industrial operations.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be capable of coordinating multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrate effective stakeholder engagement and team leadership capabilities.
• Have the ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and sound decision‑making.

• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Experience supporting EPC projects or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of NDT, SPC, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Experience analyzing quality performance metrics and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Strong organizational and project coordination capabilities.
• Ability to drive operational improvements through data‑driven decision making.
