As a Technical Training Instructor for Completions & Well Intervention (CWI), you will play a critical role in developing the skills and knowledge that drive operational success. You’ll design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programs for CWI, ensuring our teams and customers are equipped to perform at the highest standards. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with instructional leadership—both virtually and in-person.

Responsibilities

  • →Design and Deliver Training: Analyze learning needs and create effective training solutions for CWI AMO, field, applications, manufacturing, and product-line functions. Deliver technical training programs internally and externally, using virtual, classroom, and hands-on formats.
  • →Drive Competency Development: Support the development and governance of competency management programs for CWI AMO, field, and manufacturing employees.
  • →Support delivery and coordination of instructor-led CWI courses.
  • →Maintain Training Infrastructure: Ensure CWI training tools, equipment, course materials, simulations, and practical learning resources are maintained according to documented procedures. Conduct regular inventory and assets count to keep resources ready and available.
  • →Collaborate Across Functions: Redefine processes and procedures as needed, working closely with adjacent teams. Manage training rosters, registration, prerequisites, and communication with multiple districts and regions.
  • →Improve Learning Content: Update and maintain course content, quizzes, reviews, training aids, exercises, digital learning materials, and participant resources to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current CWI products, systems, applications, and competency expectations.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Completions & Well Intervention operations, AMO, field service, applications, manufacturing, technical training, or product-line support.
  • Possess extensive experience in CWI operations and Intelligent Production Systems with a strong understanding of Baker Hughes CWI products, systems, applications, AMO processes, field execution, and competency requirements.
  • Willingness to travel in support of training for internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit interpersonal and leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Apply effective problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills to deliver results.
  • Translate complex technical content into clear, practical learning experiences for field, AMO, applications, manufacturing, sales, and cross-product-line audiences.
  • Work with SMEs, regional stakeholders, competency teams, and product-line representatives to validate training content, clarify learning needs, and align course outcomes with actual CWI work requirements.
