Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks, “BCRP,” seeks a dependable and qualified individual to fill part-time non-civil service STEM/STEAM Program Designer position. BCRP Offers out-of-school time STEM/STEAM opportunities at Rec2Tech-focused recreation centers across Baltimore City. BCRP’s Rec2Tech initiative aims to provide students with opportunities to engage with STEM/STEAM content through hands-on experiences while exploring careers in the STEM/STEAM fields. Understanding of instructional practices and youth development.
Direct experience with STEM/STEAM content and/or maker education.
Ability to work independently developing curriculum and lessons for specialized content courses.
Ability to prepare and lead professional development for peers.
Ability to accommodate a multitude of learning stles and differentiate instruction as needed.
Strong organizational skills and a flexible attitude.
Strong communication (written and oral), organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
