Summary

Harbor Boating, Inc. is hiring a Marine Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial passenger vessels.

This is a hands-on position that works directly under the supervision of our full-time Marine Mechanic. The role is a good fit for someone with basic mechanical ability, a strong work ethic, and an interest in building real experience in the marine trades. You will help with routine maintenance, minor repairs, vessel upkeep, parts and tool organization, and maintenance documentation to help keep the fleet safe, reliable, and ready for service.

Do I need to be ABYC-certified, manufacturer-certified, or attend technical school?

No.

Those credentials are helpful, but they are not required for this role. We are mainly looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, some hands-on experience, and a willingness to learn while working directly with our Marine Mechanic. Relevant experience from automotive, diesel, small engine repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, trade school, apprenticeships, or military mechanical work can all translate well.

Benefits

Part-Time employees are eligible for accrued Sick Leave.
