As a Barkera Education Instructional Coach, your primary responsibility will be to learn to develop and write educational materials for children, teens, and adults. You will assist in creating curriculum materials, lesson plans, training manuals, and other instructional materials designed to help dog owners and trainers improve their understanding of dog behavior and training techniques by working with industry experts. You will also be responsible for creating the curriculum and courses targeting youth by teaching them how to create entrepreneurship. Duties: Develop a curriculum | courses focused on the younger generation (students) interested in entrepreneurship. The primary goal is to educate the students on the foundation of entrepreneurship. Help the student to achieve the ability to establish basic business concepts Assist the students to be able to create a pitch deck focused on developing a business concept in the pet industry Moderate speaking engagements to encourage innovation with the student Develop Certification programs and identify opportunities to obtain external funding or grants Write curriculum materials including lesson plans, training manuals, and other instructional materials Work closely with subject matter industry experts, including veterinarians, dog trainers, and behaviorists, to ensure that all materials are grounded in the latest research and best practices and invite them to speak virtually with students Provide education assistance both live | and in-person as needed to assist students through their online courses Establish testing | questions | surveys and quizzes to ensure retention Report success metrics and KPIs to management Support the promotion of courses through various social media and local establishments where targeted parents and students are located Collaborate with designers and multimedia specialists to create engaging and interactive instructional materials Review and edit instructional materials to ensure that they are clear, concise, and effective Assist in conducting pilot tests of instructional materials to ensure that they are effective for the targeted audience Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in youth development and education Assist other teams within Barkera who are developing educational materials targeting youth and adults in the pet industry Assist in developing a formal business unit for Barkera Youth Education Requirements (in process) Bachelor's degree or Masters's degree in Education, Communications, Journalism, Teaching, or a related field Interest in curriculum development and instructional design Interest in creating the "SPARK" for youth to bring out their creative side through entrepreneurship Evolving writing and editing skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and engaging educational materials Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, designers, and multimedia specialists Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Willing to learn instructional design software and multimedia tools Ability to manage hours and provide weekly status reports Strong expertise in educating students with a successful track record Working environment: Home office, On Campus, and must have access to a computer with internet Location: This is a remote role with meetings that may occur in the Broward Center of Innovation or Online Meetings Benefits THIS POSITION CAN HAVE TWO VARIATIONS BASED ON THE ROLES BELOW.
