As a Project Equipment Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in supporting project success by coordinating specialized equipment across branches, ensuring project teams have the right resources at the right time.

Responsibilities

This role combines project coordination, logistics, equipment management, and customer service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys supporting complex projects from planning through execution. In this role, you will:

  • Manage the equipment needs of assigned projects while delivering a high level of support to project teams.
  • Receive and review equipment requests, load-out lists, and project requirements from Project Managers and Engineers.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers regarding equipment allocation status and project readiness.
  • Review project drawings and specifications to ensure appropriate equipment and components are assigned.
  • Coordinate equipment availability across Barnhart's nationwide network to support project execution.
  • Assist with equipment load-outs, inventories, function testing, and load testing activities as needed.
  • Support yard and field operations as directed by project and equipment leadership.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records and allocation data to ensure project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve equipment conflicts and identify solutions to project challenges.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and complete multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as needed.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in heavy equipment operations.
  • Experience with equipment logistics, fleet coordination, project operations, or construction support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with construction, crane, rigging, heavy haul, or industrial project environments.
