The Technical Writer/Editor will support Barrow Wise's State of Maryland Department of General Services (DGS) project and perform the following duties:

• →Assist in collecting and organizing information to prepare user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• →Edit functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or documents.
• →Conduct research and ensure the use of proper technical terminology.
• →Translate technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and nontechnical personnel.
• →Use the standard help compiler to prepare all online documentation (for applications built to run in a Windows environment).
• →Assist in performing financial and administrative functions.

An ideal candidate has the following:

• →U.S. Citizenship
• →Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• →Minimum of five (5) years of experience in this area and must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction.
• →Minimum of two (2) years of experience in preparing and editing documents, including technical documents.
• →Conduct research for applicable standards.
